Tasheel Company Receives a Bridge Loan of EGP 900 Million from the Industrial Development Bank to Support Small and Micro Enterprises
04 Feb, 2025The Industrial Development Bank has granted a bridge loan worth EGP 900 million to Tasheel for Finance, a leading microfinance company in Egypt and one of the companies under the MNT-Halan Group. This new step reaffirms the bank’s commitment to supporting the national economy, strengthening partnerships that serve emerging enterprises, and advancing the path of sustainable development in line with Egypt's Vision 2030.
Small and Micro Projects
This financing has contributed to funding 126,000 small and micro-enterprises, with women representing 57% of the beneficiaries. This reflects the bank’s vision and strategy to enhance the role of small, medium, and micro-enterprises as a driving force for economic growth. The bank remains committed to providing innovative financing solutions that help create new job opportunities, reduce unemployment rates, and drive social and economic development, with a particular focus on economic empowerment and support for women.
The Formal Sector
This cooperation also reflects the Industrial Development Bank’s vision to integrate micro-enterprises into the formal sector, thereby contributing to the building of a strong and inclusive economy.
It is worth noting that the duration of the loan will continue until the company completes the securitization procedures for part of its customer portfolio. This will allow for greater financing opportunities to support small and medium enterprises across various governorates, ensuring that the benefits spread and reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries. This initiative will enhance the role of financial institutions in supporting community development by providing flexible financing solutions that meet the needs of entrepreneurs throughout the country.
