Mr. Hussein Refaie possesses extensive banking experience spanning over 40 years in the field of banking and international institutions, including Citibank, Barclays Bank Egypt, Société Générale Bank, Bristol Myers Squibb, and ICL Egypt. Prior to joining the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) in August 2008, he served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at these institutions. At NBE, he initially headed the Financial Group before being appointed as an Executive Board Member in April 2015, overseeing key sectors such as Financial Departments, Foreign & Financial Institutions, and Treasury & Capital Markets. He was also part of the core team responsible for the comprehensive restructuring of the National Bank of Egypt.
Before joining the Industrial Development Bank, Refaie held the position of Chairman and Managing Director of Suez Canal Bank from May 2017 until March 2024, playing a pivotal role in its restructuring. Additionally, he has served as a board member in several institutions and has been a member of the Federation of Egyptian Banks since March 2020.

Menan Awadallah has over 30 years of experience in banking, finance, and investment. She has held key positions at prominent firms such as EFG Hermes, CI Capital, and Delta Rasmala Asset Management. Since mid-2020, she has served as the Head of Securitization and Finance at Commercial International Bank (CIB). Prior to this role, she was the Head of the Institutional Sector Group at CIB and Head of Risk Management. Her earlier experience includes working as a Risk Analyst at Crédit Lyonnais (LCL) in London.
Awadallah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (specializing in Economics and Business Administration) from The American University in Cairo, graduating with First-Class Honors. She has also completed advanced training programs in credit and investment from institutions such as CIB and Intrados Group (Washington, D.C.). Additionally, she earned a Diploma in Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Sustainable Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

Akram Tinawi brings over 30 years of extensive banking experience. Most recently, he assumed the role of Non-Executive Chairman of the Industrial Development Bank (IDB) in June 2024. Prior to this, he served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of Arab Banking Corporation (ABC) Egypt from 2010 until June 2021.

On the corporate level he was the Managing director of EBC (Egyptian Banking Company) and he ended his executive career with a great success story for 10 years as Managing Director for one of the leading companies in banking and mailing services. He holds a B.Sc. in accounting from Cairo University, as well as participating in multiple training courses and seminars worldwide.

He held several leadership positions at EFG Hermes, the largest investment bank in the Middle East, and played a prominent role in transforming it into a regional entity until he left in 2017 to establish Zilla Capital.
